RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA-TV) - Marnie Herrmann and Bruce Long Fox are Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors. They report progress on the policing efforts regarding Native American concerns.

The Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors (Rapid City Circle of Friends) is celebrating the completion of our Bush Foundation Community Innovation Grant. Their journey has allowed them to "BEAM" - bridging, educating, modeling and advocating.

They are currently bridging cultures as we develop relationships and work together to create change. They are educating themselves and others through educations forums and cultural experiences. They are providing advocacy to expand Native American history, issues and cultural knowledge for the community. And they are trying to model respectful collaborative relationships to be more effective together.

Their next step is being supported by a grant from John T. Vucurevich Foundation to continue our work and to develop a pilot youth ambassadors program, bringing Native and non -Native youth together with the adult leaders to learn and plan together to "BEAM" even better!
